Why are so many asexuals against sex ed?

I’m legitimately curious.  Even if you never plan on having sex/ have no sexual desires, STD/pregnancy prevention is still really useful information to have.  I feel like the pros outweigh the cons, if there even are any.

Odd; never met a fellow asexual that’s against sex ed…..That’s a new one for me!


I’ve never seen any aces who are outright entirely against sex-ed.  (That’s more of an anti-sexual point of view, not an asexual point of view.)  What I’ve seen are aces who don’t want it for themselves, generally because they’re repulsed and don’t want anything to do with sex at all.  They don’t want to squirm through a week’s worth of classes about stuff they can’t stand.  And even that’s uncommon from what I’ve seen.  Most repulsed aces will tend to see the value in sex ed, regardless.
